A Thousand Cars
Are Waiting

Cars spend more than 95% of their time parked in garages. This is not only an unsustainable way of living, with many cars produced and rarely used, but it also made us think about how unfulfilled and sad these vehicles must feel—sitting idle, longing for the open road they were built to explore.

This realization, along with our passion for weekend work (hehe), inspired us to create this piece. We wrote, produced, directed, filmed, acted, composed, and edited it together with a few close friends.

The best part? We made a 00:01:36:10 spot simply because we could.

Ideating, creating, and producing a video with friends—without a client, budget, or external support—was both a challenge and a huge creative reward.

We made a conscious choice to do everything without AI, which meant investing a lot of time and energy into every detail. After working on the project for over a year, I shared it on LinkedIn and received solid responses.

A few months later, Land Rover released a fully AI-generated spot called “Who Said Cars Can’t Dream”, with a surprisingly similar storyline. Ours had gone live months earlier. Was it just a happy coincidence—or did a global car brand take a little inspiration from our passion project?

Either way, I’m proud of the idea—and of the fact that we brought it to life the hard way. No shortcuts, no AI—just a lot of sweat, collaboration, and heart.
